Country Profile: Lithuania

Lithuania is a country in Northern Europe. Bordered by Latvia, Poland, Belarus and Kaliningrad (Russia), the population is estimated at nearly 3 million. Having a rich history, Lithuania was the largest country in Europe during the 14th century. In 1990 Lithuania became the fit Soviet republic to declare independence.

A growing economy, Lithuania is listed as a “Very High Human Development” country by the United Nations. At the same time Lithuania has one of the highest suicide rates per capita in the world.

Next Level International has a growing relationship with the Union of Pentecostal Churches of Lithuania. The Union celebrated it’s 100 year anniversary in 2012.
