The Rain in Spain... PDF Print E-mail
What started out as a slight drizzle has turned into a downpour…our Emerging Leader’s project in Spain is seeing an incredible movement of young leaders rise up and attempt big things for God.  This was clearly evident at our last Organix Conference in December as our delegates joined together in greater unity and anointing despite difficult economic and social conditions that they find themselves in.

We had over 100 leaders present and there was a real push for them to unite in purpose and spirit. One such push came from Maxi and Angela, a young church planting couple from Aviles who cast the vision for young leaders to come and join them. They received the call to plant a church in our first Organix Conference and have used the tools and inspiration from these events to go forward in their dream. Another point of unity was an offering that we took for Spain and Serbia. Inspite of difficult economic struggles, these leaders gave generously to invest in their nation and their European neighbours.

Once again we had incredible teaching and interactive sessions from our gifted and passionate trainers and facilitators. David Harvey from Bridge Bolton Church (along with his friends Howard and Lee) challenged the leaders to think creatively and systematically using the Six Thinking Hats. Justin Reimer (and his friend Jason) taught on teamwork and following a leader with incredible insight and great stories. Rod Corcoran, Ronnie Zerr and Linda Howell from NLI came and participated in workshops, Mini_Labs as well as doing specialized sessions on Youth Work, Church Planting and Women’s Leadership. Matthew and Amber Price (PAOC missionary apprentices) also taught a workshop and led a Mini_Lab. It was great to work with this incredible team, all of whom poured their hearts and spirits into empowering our emerging leaders.

It was also incredible to see the growing relationship and momentum between the Salim Churches and NLI. This is a partnership that has been developed and fostered over the last 4 years and both parties are looking to continue it into the future. Jesus Giraldo, our main national contact, expressed again that the leadership of the Salim churches see the partnership with NLI as part of the divine vision and strategy to reach Spain for Christ in this generation! This is the true power of partnership and unity…people working together in friendship and anointing, open to God doing amazing things in order to grow His Kingdom.
