Captured by vision
Let me introduce you to some of our partners in Spain, Maxi and Angela. In December 2006 the Holy Spirit placed a vision in their hearts for the city of Aviles and surrounding area. The vision soon became a deep desire. This desire was just the beginning of a journey that is leading them to establish a center in Aviles that will function as a shelter for those affected by domestic violence and abuse, a safe place for those hurting to find community, hope, rehabilitation, restoration, love, and life. Are you like Angela? When you drive through a poor neighborhood you have a hard time holding back judgment, resentment, prejudice, and even disgust toward those trapped in poverty and injustice? For Angela this had almost become a daily occurrence. On her commute she found her heart was being hardened to the hopelessness and brokenness of people in the area.
