Values
At NLI we want to be a value driven organization…here are our values:
Accountability (Proverbs 27:6; Hebrews 10:24-25; Hebrews 13:17; Ephesians 5:21) We will proactively develop and submit to accountable relationships where trust, vulnerability, and transparency are valued. In these relationships we will balance our consideration for others with the courage to speak and hear the truth in love.
Continuous Improvement (Job 28:1-3; Philippians 3:12-16; Malachi 3:2-4; Psalm 66:10) We are committed to optimise the resources that God has provided with an attitude of stewardship. We will pursue innovation in key areas to expand the capacity of the organisation. We will welcome constructive feedback to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Personal Destiny Facilitation (Ephesians 2:10; 4:12-13; 1 Samuel 3:1-21; Esther 4:14b) We believe that each person has a God-given destiny and are committed to developing the potential of our staff and those enrolled in our cause. They will be encouraged to develop effective life leadership principles and enlarge their capacity in the spiritual, mental, relational and physical realms. We aim to strategically position them in an environment that will provide them with challenging and inspiring opportunities to grow in ways consistent with their gifts and calling.
The Local Church (1 Corinthians 12:12-26; Acts 13:1-3; Matthew 16:13-19) Our organisation is woven into the fabric of the local church and will partner with local churches in all facets of the ministry. To give credibility and integrity to this commitment, team members will position themselves within a pastoral relationship and actively support a local church’s vision.
Resourcing the Dream (Luke 1:37; Matthew 9:38; 2 Corinthians 4:18) We believe that faith and obedience will release God’s provisions to complete what He has called us to do.
The Spirit of Sacrifice (2 Samuel 24:24; Judges 11:30-40; Hebrews 11:4; Romans 12:1) We will maintain an appropriate level of sacrifice and a giving attitude in all aspects of our lives and ministry. We will seek to create an environment where balance, boundaries and quality of life are valued and respected. Additionally, when delegating projects and responsibilities we will ensure an appropriate level of sacrifice is requested.
Strategic Alignment (James 1:22; Hebrews 12:1; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27) We will position ourselves to seek and pursue the will of God for every facet of our personal and corporate lives to remain faithful to our mandate. We will align ourselves to the vision and core values in all our planning and decision-making in a purposeful, strategic manner.
Teamwork (Romans 12:4-5; Leviticus 26:8; Psalm 133:3) We believe in the principle of teamwork and the spirit of co-operation. We are a team of people with a common vision and will seek to maximise the synergy of interdependence in all aspects of the ministry. We will develop authentic joint-venture partnerships and model a team leadership and consultative approach in decision-making and communication. We will network with other organisations where appropriate for mutual benefit and to further the Kingdom.
